The classes provide a non-competitive and fun environment for students to learn and practice the sport of fencing. Classes are available three times a week. Beginners can choose to come out either once or twice a week. All equipment is provided.
Fencers learn proper stance, footwork, blade work, and basic tactics in this comprehensive class for foil and epee. Exercises and games help to strengthen the body and develop speed and agility. Here fencers are introduced to the Olympic-style, electronic bouting, whilst reinforcing the importance of respect and good sportsmanship. This class offers fencers a chance to pursue their interest in fencing on a recreational level, and also gives them the opportunity to compete at local fencing tournaments. Having your own equipment is highly recommended.
